Sophia Nitkey

Sophia is a Robotics Hardware Engineer with extensive experience in the laboratory automation industry, having worked across the U.S., U.K., and Europe designing complex robotic platforms for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In her current role at Automata Technologies, she leads the design and development of hardware product lines supporting advanced automation platforms. Her expertise spans mechanical design, robotics systems development, and operational process improvement for scaling hardware products. Sophia holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Human and Biological Robotics from Imperial College London, where she developed a novel compliant actuation system for wearable robotics applications.
