Paul Lasance

Paul Lasance is a Digital Manufacturing Specialist at SAP with nearly four decades of experience spanning the factory floor to the cutting edge of Industry 4.0. Based in the UK, he works across EMEA helping some of the world's leading manufacturers harness the power of SAP Digital Manufacturing, IoT, and cloud technologies to drive operational excellence and real business value. Paul's career is rooted in hands-on manufacturing experience — he began in engineering roles before managing a multi-million pound aerospace production facility, where he turned a struggling plant into its division's flagship operation. That ground-level credibility has made him a genuine trusted advisor to clients across aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, hi-tech electronics, and beyond. Since joining SAP in 2009 (following the acquisition of Visiprise, where he was Senior Solution Engineer), Paul has focused on bridging the gap between shopfloor reality and enterprise technology — guiding customers through discovery, process evaluation, and implementation of end-to-end digital manufacturing solutions. He is a regular speaker at SAP events, most recently presenting at SAP Connect Day for Supply Chain and the SAP NOW AI Tour UKI, where he brings the same practical, no-nonsense perspective that has defined his career from the start.
