Louise O’Flanagan

Louise O’Flanagan is the Head of Engineering and Asset Management at EirGrid, and a leader with two decades of experience in the field. She has long experience in the operation of Ireland’s national grid and possesses a deep understanding of the intricate workings of the power system and the challenges of integrating renewable energy sources. Louise joined EirGrid in 2011, working predominantly on delivering grid connections for renewable energy projects as well as interconnector projects. Prior to joining EirGrid, Louise worked for an engineering consultancy firm in both Ireland and UK. She is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Ireland, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and Masters of Engineering Science Degree, both from UCD.
