Herinaina Rabarimanantsoa

Herinaina Rabarimanantsoa (“Rina”) is a Senior Principal R&D Engineer at Medtronic, specializing in the development of heart valve replacement systems within the Aortic and Structural Heart Operating Unit. Based in Galway, Ireland, Rina has dedicated 16 years to Medtronic, contributing her expertise in both engineering and leadership. She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Physics from Rouen University in France. As a Medtronic Technical Fellow, Rina collaborates with R&D teams across four global sites. Her primary focus throughout her career has been leading device bench and in-vivo testing during product development, including the verification and validation phases. Additionally, she serves as a technical expert for Ireland’s national notified body (NSAI).
