Derek Sharkey

Derek has spent 25 years in the PFI/PPP sector, holding a wide range of roles spanning public sector technical advisor, private sector bid director, chief executive of a development company, and lender’s technical advisor. Over two decades with major global organisations, he has held senior positions across bidding, strategy, growth, and project oversight, consistently leading the development and delivery of complex infrastructure programmes. His experience covers the full breadth of PPP models, including PFI, BSF, LIFT, PF2, hub, NPD and, more recently, MIM. He has also worked extensively in international PPP markets such as Ireland and the Middle East. Derek recently joined Vercity, an infrastructure asset management and professional services company, as Managing Director of Strategic Growth.
