Catherine Burns

Catherine Burns is a Senior Associate at Pinsent Masons LLP, with over a decade of experience advising on major infrastructure and energy projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. She is a trusted adviser on the procurement and delivery of large scale construction projects, spanning sectors such as road, rail and energy, and also has extensive experience in contentious construction matters, including adjudication, arbitration and litigation. Catherine trained and qualified at Pinsent Masons in London in 2016, specialising in construction advisory and disputes. In 2023, she relocated to the firm’s Ireland offices in Belfast and Dublin, where her practice has focused predominantly on the procurement and delivery of renewable energy projects across Ireland. As a construction specialist qualified to practise in England & Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, Catherine brings a uniquely cross jurisdictional perspective to complex projects. She combines deep industry understanding with strong technical expertise, helping clients navigate commercial, contractual and regulatory challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
