Billy Donovan is a Business Development Manager at the MET Technology Gateway, based at ATU Galway, where he helps companies in the MedTech, Life Sciences, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors accelerate innovation and bring new technologies to market. With a strong background in cybersecurity & AI, digital transformation , and operational excellence, Billy has worked with industry leaders including Johnson & Johnson, Zimmer Biomet, and AIR Automation to deliver high-impact projects that bridge research and commercial application. . He has a passion for supporting SMEs through applied research, collaborative partnerships, and access to Enterprise Ireland and EU funding mechanisms that help ideas progress from concept to commercial reality. Billy is deeply engaged in Ireland’s innovation ecosystem, promoting industry-academia collaboration and the adoption of emerging technologies across manufacturing.
