Annette Mason

Annette is an experienced senior leader with three decades of expertise in Learning and Development, built across a diverse career spanning the Education, Defence, Engineering and Utility sectors. Throughout this time, she has developed a strong and credible track record in leadership and management development, talent management and succession planning, organisational learning strategy, early careers, and recruitment. Her career reflects a consistent focus on developing people, enabling performance, and building capability at both organisational and individual levels. Since joining Welsh Water in 2017, Annette has played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing a comprehensive talent strategy that aligns with and strengthens the company’s wider people strategy. Her work has focused on creating the conditions for people to thrive—supporting leaders, investing in future talent, and embedding a culture of continuous development. Through this, she has helped drive organisational performance by enhancing employee engagement, improving retention, and strengthening service delivery capability.
