The Medical and Engineering Technologies (MET) Gateway at ATU, supported by Enterprise Ireland inspires Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) within the MedTech, Life Sciences, and Engineering industrial sectors. MET delivers world-class innovative solutions for the close-to-market needs of Irish-based Start-ups, SMEs, and Multinationals to build, scale, and expand reach by improving competitiveness and enhancing transformation activities. Co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Northern & Western Regional Programme 2021-27, MET empowers systemic change and impact for clients, accelerating medical device design and engineering development processes. Through active engagement with clinical, RD&I and industrial partners, MET produces exceptional scientific knowledge and technology outputs. We offer access to funding, technical R&D capabilities, cutting-edge equipment and technologies through a diverse suite of services and expertise across core technology themes: (1) Medical Imaging Technologies, (2) Anatomical Modelling and Physiological Replication, (3) Design Evaluation, Data Analytics and Optimisation Technologies, (4) Tissue Engineering and Biofabrication, (5) Innovation in Nutrition, and (6) Sport Technologies.
