Irish Trade Connect

Irish Food Trade Connect is Ireland’s first all-island trading network dedicated exclusively to the food and drink sector. Established in 2023 by food industry consultant and educator Margaret Dineen, the network was created to close a clear gap: a practical, year-round platform that connects producers across the island of Ireland with trade buyers at home and abroad. Bringing together food and drink manufacturers from both Ireland and Northern Ireland, Irish Food Trade Connect focuses on real commercial outcomes rather than one-off showcases. Its annual forum, held each March, has rapidly become a must-attend event, with over 200 delegates and 50 exhibitors coming together to meet buyers, showcase products and explore new routes to market. The network is built on a commitment to meaningful engagement, consistent industry dialogue and partnerships that drive measurable results. Through its blend of in-person events, podcasts and newsletters, Irish Food Trade Connect provides ongoing support, insight and connection for brand owners, retailers, foodservice operators and distributors.
