Attaining a first-class honours distinction of 1:1 in my Master's degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, with a specialization in Sustainable Energy Systems, has instilled a deep commitment to sustainability within my professional ethos. Throughout my career as a designer, from involvement in additive manufacturing to a tenure in industrial design, I have consistently applied sustainable principles and ideology, driving me to devise innovative and environmentally conscious problem-solving solutions. Having spent over 6 years working in the dynamic environment of Shanghai, China, I gained invaluable insights into manufacturing and design within an exceptionally fast-paced setting. Leveraging my industry contacts and direct experience with manufacturers, I returned to Europe to spearhead a small 3D printing business. This venture focused on offering affordable, consumer-oriented 3D printers to the European market. Armed with both a Master's degree and an undergraduate degree in industrial design, coupled with extensive international industry exposure, I possess a versatile skill set. This equips me to approach engineering challenges in this Master's program with creativity, broad brainstorming acumen, and an unwavering commitment to sustainable principles in problem-solving. I identify myself as an innovative designer and engineer and an early adopter of cutting-edge technology, as exemplified by my proficiency in digital manufacturing. My work ethic is characterised by a positive and enthusiastic approach, underpinned by qualities of diligence, reliability, motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills.
